About Nikola Jokic
Nikola Jokic is a center for the Denver Nuggets. Jokic played professionally in Serbia before being selected in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft. He had been named the Adriatic League MVP and the ABA League Top Prospect that year. Jokic made an immediate impact as a rookie in the NBA, averaging ten points and seven rebounds per game. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team and finished third in Rookie of the Year voting. Jokic stepped his game up even more in year two, resulting in a second place showing in NBA Most Improved Player Award balloting. He averaged 16.7 points, 9.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. Jokic recorded six triple-doubles during the season which ranked fourth in the league. Outside of his professional career, he has regularly represented Serbia in international competition. Jokic helped his country win a silver medal at the 2016 Olympics.
