Olivier Giroud

Olivier Giroud is a soccer player who plays for the English club Arsenal and the French national team. Giroud spent six years training at Olympique Club de Froges before he joined the professional club Grenoble at 13. He spent five years at Grenoble before he signed his first professional contract at 21. Before the 2005-06 season began, Giroud was promoted to the club’s reserve team where he quickly became an important player. In March 2006, Giroud was called up to the senior team and he made his professional debut on March 27, 2006. Giroud spent the 2007-08 season with the Istres in the Chamionnat National. In May 2008, Giroud agreed to a three-year deal with club Tours. He made his club debut on September 3, 2008. Giroud spent 2010-2012 with Montpellier before playing for Arsenal. Giroud signed with Arsenal on June 26, 2012 and he made his debut on August 18, 2012. He scored his first UEFA Championships League goal for Arsenal on November 6, 2012. He started in the 2014 FA Cup Final for Arsenal on May 17, 2014.
