About Olivier Vernon
Olivier Vernon is a defensive end for the Cleveland Browns. In 2016, he signed a five-year free agent contract worth $85 million with the New York Giants. That deal with an annual average salary of $17 million makes him the highest paid defensive end in the NFL. He delivered on the Giants investment, getting named a second-team All-Pro in 2016 and a Pro Bowler in 2018. Over the first four seasons of his career, Vernon established himself as an elite pass rusher with the Miami Dolphins. His best season came in 2013 when he recorded 11.5 sacks. The Dolphins originally drafted Vernon out of the University of Miami in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
