Oscar Piastri

Oscar Jack Piastri drives for McLaren‑Mercedes in Formula 1 as the team's driver number 81. He achieved a remarkable rise through junior racing categories by winning the 2019 Formula Renault Eurocup followed by consecutive FIA Formula 3 (2020) and Formula 2 (2021) championships while becoming the first driver to win all three titles.

Piastri joined McLaren in 2023 after serving as Alpine's reserve driver in 2022 when he achieved his first Formula 1 podium at the Japanese Grand Prix and established himself as a driver who remains calm and analytical on the track. The second season of his career brought him his first wins in Hungary and Azerbaijan while helping McLaren secure its first Constructors' title since 1997 and he secured his first pole position at the 2025 Shanghai Grand Prix during a tight championship battle.

Piastri moved to England at age 14 to pursue his racing dreams and he chose Haileybury boarding school to live while developing his racing skills through remote-control cars and karts and simulators.

He keeps a private lifestyle in Monte Carlo with his long-term partner Lily Zneimer whom he met at boarding school while she helps him stay grounded despite his growing popularity. He spends his free time cooking and participating in paddle sports while watching Netflix thrillers and traveling to Noosa and the Maldives for relaxation.

Piastri has signed a new McLaren contract that will keep him with the team through at least 2028 while he dedicates all his efforts to achieving his ultimate goal of becoming Formula 1 world champion. The combination of his technical abilities and mental stability with his fast career progression positions him as one of the most promising young drivers in the sport.
