Pat Barry

Pat Barry is an American kickboxer and former MMA fighter, currently kickboxing for the Glory promotion. Despite not having any previous training, Barry learned multiple martial arts styles, and trained in kickboxing at the same time. His professional debut came after a tryout for K-1, losing in the first round of a 2005 tournament. After switching trainers and experiencing moderate success within kickboxing, Barry made the transition to mixed martial arts, debuting in 2008 with a victory at Combat USA: Battle of the Bay. Three fights later, Barry signed a contract with MMA giant UFC, debuting at UFC 92 later that year with a victory over Dan Evensen. Barry would compete in the UFC for five years, amassing a 5-7 record, eventually losing his last fight with the promotion in 2013 by knockout. After leaving the UFC, Barry retired from MMA and returned to kickboxing, fighting for the world’s largest kickboxing promotion, Glory. Barry is 1-1 so far in his return, and looks to improve his record as time goes on.
