About Patricia Alcivar
Patricia Alcivar is a women’s professional boxer. Alcivar grew up in an abusive household, so she left herfamily at age 15. She worked a part time job, and graduated high school with honors. All the while,Alcivar was training to be a boxer, learning martial arts and beginning to box at age 13. During heramateur career, Alcivar won national and international championships, becoming the first woman toever be named Athlete of the Year by the United States Olympic committee. In 2009, Alcivar turnedprofessional, winningher first fight by a first round knockout. Over her five year career, Alcivar has arecord of seven wins and three losses, with her most recent fight being a loss.
