About Paul Goydos
Paul Goydos is a professional golfer, playing on the PGA Tour as well as the Nationwide Tour. Goydosbut only experienced minor success, having to serve as a substitute teacherto keep an income. He finally moved up to the Nationwide Tour in 1991, winning his first event in 1992.After going through qualifying school, Goydos moved up to the PGA Tour in 1993. Goydos won his firstPGA Tour event in 1996 at the Bay Hill Invitational, but did not make the cut in his first Mastersappearance later that year. Goydos would have multiple injuries throughout the years, and only starteda handful of events until the mid-2000s. In 2007, Goydos won the Sony Openin Hawaii, his secondcareer PGA Tour victory. This win moved him into the top 50 of world rankings. Goydos’ best finish at aMajor Championship came in 1999 when he tied for 12th place in 1999. After a leave from golf, Goydoswould return to compete on the Champions Tour, winning the Pacific Links Hawaii Championship in2014 to become one of only eight players to win on all of the PGA Tour sponsored tours.
