About Paula Radcliffe
Paula Radcliffe is one of the most accomplished marathon runners and British athletes of all-time. Radcliffe won the London Marathon three times, the New York Marathon three times and the Chicago Marathon twice. She was the World Champion in the marathon in 2005. From 2003-19, Radcliffe held the world record in the distance. She also competed in the Olympics for Great Britain on four occasions. Radcliffe has been honored countless times in the UK, winning prestigious honors like BBC Sports Personality of the Year as well as being named a Member of the Order of the British Empire. Internationally, she has been recognized as the Laureus World Comeback of the Year, IAAF World Athlete of the Year and three times as the AIMS World Athlete of the Year. Radcliffe concluded her career in competition in 2015 and is also a member of the England Athletics Hall of Fame.
