Philip Champion

Phillip Champion was born in Jacksonville, Florida and spent time in Orlando before spending his youth in Columbus, Georgia. From an early age he loved the game of basketball, and enjoyed developing his own style of play. As a freshman he starred on his high school team, but went on to be cut during his sophomore and junior seasons due to his basketball style not fitting with the coaches philosophy. After high school he pursued a career in street basketball at the Run N-Shoot in Atlanta, Georgia. Overtime he developed his skills and became one of the best ball-handlers in the business. In 2000 he was recruited by AND1 and began traveling with the hit AND1 Mixtape Tour. Known as “Hot Sauce” by his fans, Champion combines uncanny athletic ability, instincts and ball handling to entertain millions around the world in his own unique style of basketball. In 2006 he played a role in the movie Crossover, and has since signed a contract with the College Park Spyders in the American Basketball Association.
