About Porter Moser
Porter Moser is the head men's basketball coach at Oklahoma. Moser gained national recognition as the coach at Loyola-Chicago from 2011-2021. He particularly jumped on the radar of many when he led Ramblers to a banner 2017-18 season. Loyola-Chicago had a 30-win season and reached the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament. The Ramblers won the regular season and tournament championships in the Missouri Valley Conference. Along with the team success, Moser was named MVC Coach of the Year. His team at Loyola had previously had some success when they won the CBI championship in 2015. Prior to arriving in Chicago, Moser was an assistant and the associate head coach under Rick Majerus at Saint Louis from 2007-11. He previously had stints as a head coach at Illinois State and Arkansas-Little Rock. Moser previously guided the Trojans to three-straight 18-win seasons from 2001-03. He took over the Arkansas-Little Rock program after three seasons as an assistant at the school. Moser originally began his coaching career as an assistant at his alma mater, Creighton, in 1990. He also spent time as a coach at Texas A&M and Milwaukee.
