About Quentin Richardson
Quentin Richardson is a Chicago native and led Whitney Young High School to an Illinois High School State Championship in 1998. After high school he continued his basketball career and education at DePaul University, where he averaged 17.9 points and 10.2 rebounds over two seasons in route to being named the Conference USA Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year. After his sophomore season he declared for the NBA Draft and was selected in the first round with the 18th overall pick by the Los Angeles Clippers. After four seasons with the Clippers he headed to the Phoenix Suns for a season and became the NBA Three-Point Shootout champion in 2005. After the 2005 season he saw time with the New York Knicks from 2005 to 2009, the Miami Heat from 2009 to 2010, the Orlando Magic from 2010 to 2012 and the New York Knicks in 2013. During his career he was a solid outside shooter and defender, and retired with 8,032 points, which was good for a 10.3 points per game average. After his retirement he was named director of player development for the Detroit Pistons in 2014.
