About Ray Goff
Ray Goff was the head football coach at his alma mater, the University of Georgia, from 1989-1995. Goff compiled a 46-34-1 record while leading the Bulldogs. He had his best best season in 1992. Goff went 10-2 won the Southeastern Conference East Division and finished eighth in both major polls. UGA was also victorious in the Florida Citrus Bowl. Prior to taking the reigns of the Georgia program, Goff was a Bulldogs assistant under legendary coach Vince Dooley. His coaching career began at South Carolina in 1979. He played quarterback at UGA and was SEC Player of the Year in 1976. That year's Georgia squad won the conference. For his tremendous accomplishments on the field, Goff is a member of the Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame.
