About Regan Smith
Regan Smith is a driver in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He grew up in Cato, New York where he began his racing career at the age of four years old in go karts. He had success early winning several regional and state championships. In 2002 at the age of 18 Regan made his debut in NASCAR in the Craftsman Truck Series. In 2007 Smith got his big break when he qualified for his first race in the Sprint Cup Series, the top series of NASCAR. ReganÂs first full time season came in 2008 where he nearly won his first race, but in a bit of controversy the win was not awarded to Regan. In 2011 at the Showtime Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway Regan broke through and got his first win in the top series of NASCAR by holding off his competitors while on worn tires. The last few seasons Regan has driven in the NASCAR Xfinity Series where he has been the Most Popular Driver Award winner in 2013.
