About Rex Burkhead
Early on, Rex Burkhead played football in high school where he rushed for 1,762 yards as a senior with 28 touchdowns and led his team to a semifinal appearance in the playoffs. In college Rex continued to sharpen his skills and get better at his craft. Despite a bout dealing with injuries, Rex had success in college by becoming a member of the First-team All-Big Ten squad for Nebraska. He finished his senior season with 98 carries for an average of 6.9 yards per carry. He was projected as a top 150 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft as the 9th or 10th best running back in the draft, but ended up being the 190th selection.
