About Ricky Barnes
Prior to becoming a professional golfer on the PGA Tour, Ricky Barnes began his amateur career at the University of Arizona where he became the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in 2000, and Co-Player of the Year in 2001. He even outscored his playing partner Tiger Woods as the low amateur in The Masters, where he finished 21st. He turned pro in 2003 and joined the Nationwide Tour where his best tour finish came in 2006 with a loss in a playoff at the 2006 Oregon Classic and a 25th place spot on the 2008 Nationwide Tour money list which earned Ricky his PGA Tour card for 2009. Ricky has gone on to have success on the tour including a string of several consecutive top 10 tournament finishes in 2010 and top ten finished in The Masters Tournament in 2010 and a top five finish in the U.S. Open in 2009.
