About Roberto Alomar
Roberto Alomar is a retired Major League Baseball player, known for his great work at second base. Roberto grew up surrounded by baseball, with his father being a major league player. Roberto always hung out around the Yankees clubhouse in the summers, and Alomar first signed with a team in 1995 at the very young age of 17, signing with the San Diego Padres organization. Roberto went on to play for seven different major league teams over his career spanning from 1988-2004. He ended his career with the Chicago White Sox with a career batting average of .300 and 210 home runs. Roberto accomplished a lot in his career, including becoming a 12 time All-Star, a World Series Champion twice, a 10 time Gold Glove Award winner, which is more Gold Gloves than any other second baseman in history. Roberto was awarded the highest honor a baseball player can receive in 2011 when he became a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
