About Rose Namajunas
Rose Namajunas has been one of the UFC's most exciting female fighters during her time in the Octagon. Namajunas started in amateur mixed martial arts in 2010, eventually rising up as a pro in the Invicta Fighting Championship. She earned her spot in the UFC through The Ultimate Fighter in 2013, ending up in the final, but losing the first Strawweight Championship bout ever Carla Esparza. She did get bonuses from TUF for Performance of the Season and Fight of the Season.
Namajunas got another crack at the title and scored a huge upset over Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 217 in 2017. She also won a title defense against Jedrzejczyk before losing the belt to Jessica Andrade. In 2021, Namajunas became the first woman to reclaim a belt when she beat Zhang Weili at UFC 261.
