About Ryan Hunter-Reay
Ryan Hunter-Reay is a highly reputable and well-known professional racecar driver. He is most famously recognized for clinching the winning titles at the Verizon IndyCar Series championship in 2012 and the Indianapolis 500 in 2014. He is also recognized as a major philanthropist and advocate for the fight against cancer. Hunter-Reay proudly embodies the number 28 on his racecar in order to represent the 28 million people worldwide in the fight against cancer and has also donated over $2.5 million to the Cleveland Clinic to aid in finding a cure for cancer. As a Dallas, Texas native born in 1980, Hunter-Reay has certainly made a name for himself over the years. Specializing in open-wheel competition, he holds 14 career victories and six pole positions as well as having led more than 1,000 laps over the course of his open-wheel career. Hunter-Reay is also a twotime recipient of the ESPY’s Best Driver award. He has been amassing notable victories since 1997 and is admired each and every day for his humble citizenship displayed on and off the track.
