About Ryan McDonough
Ryan McDonough is the general manager of the Phoenix Suns. He was hired by the franchise in 2013 and has since ushered the roster through significant changes. McDonough is credited for drafting a young nucleus that includes potential stars like Devin Booker and Josh Jackson. In 2014, he was a runner-up for the NBA Executive of the Year. McDonough spent ten seasons in the front office of the Boston Celtics before being hired in Phoenix. He held roles with the Celtics that included being director of international scouting and the assistant general manager. McDonough comes from a big family in the sports industry. His dad, Will, is a columnist for the Boston Celtics. His brother, Sean is the play by play voice of Monday Night Football and another brother, Terry, works in the front office of the Arizona Cardinals.
