Ryan Miller

Ryan Miller is an Olympic athlete and famous professional ice hockey goaltender, currently playing for the Vancouver Canucks. Miller has been playing professionally since 1999. Prior to his professional debut, he spent his childhood growing up in Michigan throughout the 1980’s and ‘90’s. He originally played as a forward in youth hockey before becoming a talented goaltender. After high school, Miller went on to play collegiate ice hockey for the Michigan State University Spartans, setting an NCAA record of the most career shutouts with 26. He led the country in wins, winning percentage, save percentage, goals against average and shutouts before graduating. He then played with the Buffalo Shores of the AHL and the St. Louis Blues before becoming a member of the Vancouver Canucks. With athletic talent and a pure passion for the sport running in the family blood, Miller has a brother whom currently plays in the NHL and three cousins that were former professional players, as well. Miller and his family have established themselves as very notable players of their time and use each other’s success to better the community around them.
