About Sam Koch
Samuel David Koch, much more commonly referred to as Sam or “Koch”, is currently a professional punter in the NFL. A Nebraska native, Koch excelled in football, basketball, baseball and soccer throughout his early years. He played college football as a walk on for the Cornhuskers at the University of Nebraska. As a senior, he started doing big things for his team. He broke the record for the single season punting-average mark and became a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award, which is an annual award granted to college football’s top punter. Koch graduated from the University in Nebraska in 2005 with a degree in business administration and immediately entered the 2006 NFL Draft, during which he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens. He has played for the Ravens ever since and proudly wears the SuperBowl XLVII ring. Amassing over 700 professional punts to date, Koch also humbly holds the Ravens’ record for most career punt yards and the longest career punt.
