About Sam Leavitt
Sam Leavitt is a star quarterback for the LSU Tigers. The 6'2", 205-pound dual-threat signal-caller from West Linn, Oregon, was a highly rated four-star recruit and Gatorade Oregon Player of the Year out of high school, where he led his team to a state championship. He began his career at Michigan State in 2023, appearing in four games before transferring to Arizona State. There, he burst onto the scene in 2024 as the starter, throwing for over 2,800 yards with 24 touchdowns, rushing for 443 yards and five scores, and guiding the Sun Devils to a Big 12 title and College Football Playoff berth. In 2025, injuries limited him to seven starts (1,628 passing yards, 10 TDs), prompting a transfer portal entry. Ranked as the No. 1 QB in the portal, he signed with LSU in January 2026 under new head coach Lane Kiffin.
