About Shigeki Maruyama
Shigeki Maruyama is a professional golfer who plays on the Japan Golf Tour as well as the PGA Tour. Maruyama attended Nihon University before he turned professional in 1992. Maruyama began his golfing career on the Japan Golf Tour where he quickly became on of the leading players on the tour. After Maruyama recorded two excelled finishes at the World Golf Championships events in 1999, he earned a membership for the U.S. based PGA Tour for the 2000 season. Maruyama played for the PGA Tour from 2000-2008 before he announced that he would be returning back to Japan after he failed to maintain his full playing rights on the PGA Tour. In 1998 and 2000, Maruyama was a member of The International Team where he had a 5-0-0 win-loss-tie record during 1998. He has recorded 13 professional wins over his career. Three of the wins came on the PGA Tour and the other ten came on the Japan Golf Tour.
