About Sim Bhullar
Sim Bhullar made NBA history on April 7th, 2015. Bhullar became the first player of Indian descent in the league when he checked in for the Sacramento Kings with 16.1 seconds to go in their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Kings owner Vivek Ranadive is also the first owner of Indian descent. At 7’5”, he is a towering presence at center and expected to quickly improve in the NBA. Bhullar was originally undrafted out of New Mexico State, signed with the Kings, but then was cut in October before being brought back. In that time, he played in the D-League for the Reno Bighorns. Bhullar racked up awards in his two collegiate seasons. He was the two-time WAC Tournament MVP as the Aggies advanced to the NCAA Tournament each time. Bhullar was also the WAC Freshman of the Year in 2013 and made the conference’s All-Defensive team in 2014. The Toronto native played his high school basketball in the states at Huntington Prep School in West Virginia.
