About Solomon Wilcots
Solomon Wilcots is a former professional defensive back of the Cincinnati Bengals, Minnesota Vikings, and Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL. Wilcots attended the University of Colorado where he was a medical redshirt his freshman year. Wilcots made three bowl appearances with Colorado. The Cincinnati Bengals selected Wilcots in the 8th round as the 215th overall pick in the 1987 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Wilcots played in 12 games for the Bengals and he recorded his first two interceptions. The following year, he was a starter for all 16 games and in 1989 he played in all 16 games. He signed with the Vikings in 1991 and spent only one season with them. In 1992, Wilcots played his final season with the Steelers. After retiring from football, Wilcots began his television career as a weekend sports anchor from 1994-2003. He went on to major positions in TV as the sideline reporter for ESPN's Sunday Night Football and a game analyst for CBS Sports. Wilcots now provides analysis for the UK-based Sky Sports.
