About Stan Heath
Stan Heath is a former collegiate men’s basketball coach. Heath attended Eastern Michigan where he was redshirted his freshman year before he lettered the remaining three years. Heath’s coaching career began in 1988 when he was named an assistant coach at Hillsdale College. Heath spent one season at Hillside before he moved on to Albion College where he was the assistant and junior varsity coach for two years. He also served as the assistant coach at Wayne State, Bowling Green and Michigan State University. Heath’s first head coaching position came in 2001 at Kent State. While at Kent State, Heath helped the Golden Flashes win the Mid-American Conference regular season and tournament titles. Heath spent one season at Kent State before he moved to the head coaching position at the University of Arkansas. Heath spent five seasons at Arkansas before he was fired. On April 2, 2007, Heath signed a five-year contract with the University of South Florida.
