About Stanley Johnson
Stanley Johnson is a forward for the Toronto Raptors. Johnson was the eight overall pick in the 2015 NBA DRaft. He spent the first four seasons of his career with the Detroit Pistons before being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. Prior to jumping to the NBA, he had a banner campaign in his one season at the University of Arizona. Johnson was a first-team All-Pac 12 pick and the Freshman of the Year in the conference. He averaged 13.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. The Wildcats advanced all the way to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. Coming out of powerhouse Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, Johnson was a star. He was a consensus five-star recruit and had led the school to four consecutive CIF California Division 1 state titles. As a senior, the Monarchs finished number one in the country according to USA Today and Johnson was California’s Mr. Basketball. He was also the MaxPreps.com High School National Player of the Year and a first-team All-American according to Parade and USA Today. After the season, he competed in the McDonald’s All-American Game, Jordan Brand Classic, and Nike Hoop Summit.
