About Steve Fairchild
Steve Fairchild is a 30-year coach, currently serving as the offensive coordinator for the Virginia Cavaliers. Fairchild played college football both at San Diego Mesa Community College, where he earned the title of All-American, and at Colorado State University, serving as the team’s quarterback. During his final year with CSU, Fairchild scored 15 touchdowns and threw over 2,500 yards. He displayed his love for the Rams by returning to his alma mater in 2007 to serve as the Colorado State University head coach. Prior to returning to his alma mater, Fairchild coached with the NFL for the Buffalo Bills and the St. Louis Rams. Succeeding his four years spent as the head coach at Colorado State, he returned to the NFL in 2012 for a year as the senior offensive assistant/special assignments coach for the San Diego Chargers. Fairfield is currently very content with the Virginia Cavaliers, using his expertise and years of experience to help the offensive line lead the team to victory.
