About Steve Grogan
Steve Grogan is one of the few and far between professional athletes that stayed with one professional team for the entirety of his career. With a heart dedicated solely to the New England Patriots, Grogan played quarterback from 1975 to 1990. Prior to his time in the NFL, Grogan went to a prep school in Kansas, where he was a state runner-up finish in football, and pursued his education at Kansas State University where he had many shining moments as the starting quarterback, including a 100 yard rushing game and credited with catching a touchdown pass of 22 yards. Grogan went on to be selected in the fifth round of the 1975 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. Grogan represented his superior talent, love for the game, and love for his team by obtaining a total of 26,886 passing yards, 2,176 rushing yards and 36 rushing touchdowns over the course of his career. Grogan’s high school football stadium is currently named after him and his alma mater has retired the number Grogan wore while playing for the Wildcats at Kansas State. In addition, Grogan’s tremendous contributions to the game were highlighted when he was inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame in 1995.
