Steve Marino

Steve Marino is an American professional golfer and competitor of the PGA Tour. Growing up as a military brat, Marino was all over the country throughout his childhood, residing in Oklahoma, Alaska, Ohio, Alabama, and Virginia. Marino attended the University of Virginia and made his professional debut in 2002 on the Tar Heel Tour. In his early years as a professional golfer, Marino’s greatest accomplishment was winning the 2006 Sidney Frank Memorial Gateway Tour Championship, where he carded a 13- under-par 59 during the third round. He then reached the PGA Tour in 2007 and has made a name for himself ever since. In his first season of the PGA Tour, Marino had four top ten finished in 31 events and finished 80th on the PGA money list, earning winnings of over $1,100,000. Other notable contributions include tying for second at the Sony Open in Hawaii and leading the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2011. In 2012, Marino was diagnosed with a bone contusion in his left leg and had to take some time off. Marino’s remarkable strength brought him back to compete in the PGA Tour, which he has currently been competing in for seven years now.
