About Steven Bowditch
Steven Bowditch, an Australian native born in 1983, currently plays on the PGA Tour and on the PGA Tour of Australasia. Turning professional in 2001, Bowditch has managed to capture a total of six professional wins and embark on a variety of tours, including the former Nationwide and Challenge Tour. Bowditch’s first professional victory came in 2005 when he won the Jacob’s Creek Open Championship, ultimately leading him to receiving his first PGA Tour card in 2006. Steven Bowditch made both his Australian natives and his fellow Americans proud when he won for the second time, at the Soboba Golf Classic, on the Nationwide Tour in 2010. He has since had four other professional wins over the past four years, and in addition, has balanced struggling over a battle with severe depression. Due to his own experience with this struggle, Bowditch reaches out to others through an Australian non-profit organization, named beyondblue, as a spokesman promoting awareness of depression and other related mental disorders.
