Steven Jackson wears number 39 for the Atlanta Falcons. As a valuable running back, he has been with the Falcons since 2013 but with the NFL since 2004. Born in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1983, his running back days began at Eldorado high school, where he also ran track and field. Jackson then went on to attend Oregon State University, where he played for the Oregon State Beavers football team for three seasons. While at Oregon State, Jackson ranked second in school history of all-purpose yards achieved, reaching 4,545 yards. Suffering from a knee injury in his final year of college, Jackson was slow to enter the NFL. However, he was drafted 24th overall in the 2004 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams, in which he played for the first eight seasons of his career. His first season, he was named St. Louis Rams Rookie of the Year and proceeded to do great thing with the team, including earning the NFC Rushing Leader title in 2009, becoming a three time recipient of the Rams MVP Award, two time recipient of the Second-team All-Pro, and three time Pro Bowl. Ultimately, Jackson was the St. Louis Rams all-time leader in rushing attempts and rushing yards, to this day. He now impresses fans and scares opponents in his Falcons jersey.
