Suzy Kolber

You may recognize the name, or more likely the face, of Suzy Kolber as one of the original anchors of ESPN2, most frequently an American football sideline reporter for the network. Kolber was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and left her home state to attend the University of Miami. Graduating in 1986, Kolber worked for WPEC-TV right out of college until coming to ESPN in West Palm Beach, Florida, as a weekend sports anchor and weekday feature reporter. Kolber has spent the majority of her anchoring and reporting career with ESPN Sports, leaving only for a brief time to join Fox Sports Network. Kolber is most commonly known for her sideline reporting on ESPN’s Monday Night Football with Michele Tafoya. She also made a name for herself hosting pre-face NASCAR Countdown programs for ESPN in 2007. Annually, Kolber covers the NFL Draft and has also regularly hosts ESPN’s NFL Live news and information show yearround. In addition, Kolber’s reputation has earned her endorsements on national television as a spokesperson for Pepsi-Cola and Chevrolet commercials. Her football broadcast narrative is also featured on Sega’s video game and Sony’s PlayStation 2. Kolber has certainly made both a name and a face for herself over the years, bringing quite a lot to the table for ESPN and all those who tune in.
