About Tayyiba Haneef-Park
Tayyiba Haneef-Park is a retired indoor volleyballplayer who represented the United States inmultiple events, including the Olympic Games. Aftera successful high school career in whichshe won awards for volleyball as well as track andfield, Haneef-Park attended Long BeachState, earning All-Big West honors in three of herfour seasons. Haneef-Park would also lead theteam to a runner up finish in the NCAA Championships in her 2001 senior season. Haneef-Parkhas played for multiple club teams around the world, playing in Italy, Japan, Azerbaijan, Turkey,and Russia. Her greatest success, however, was whenshe played for the United States Nationalteam, winning multiple bronze and silver medals. She has participated in the 2008 and 2012Olympics, winning silver in both events. Her individual accolades include being named the “BestServer” at the 2007 Pan-American Games, as well asbeing named “Best Scorer” at the 2005NORCECA Championships.
