About Thomas Dimitroff
Thomas Dimitroff is the former general manager for the Atlanta Falcons, a role he occupied from 2008-2020. He was instrumental in constructing a roster that made the franchise's second Super Bowl in 2016. Over the years, Dimitroff drafted franchise cornerstones like Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Vic Beasley. The Falcons made five postseason appearances under Dimitroff's watch. He was named Sporting News Executive of the Year in 2008 and 2010. During Dimitroff's first two years on the job, Atlanta made the playoffs in back-to-back seasons for the first time. Before joining the Falcons, he was the director of college scouting for the New England Patriots. He got his start in scouting as a combine/BLESTO scout. He also held scouting jobs in the Canadian Football League and the World League of American Football. He got his first NFL job as a college scout with the Detroit Lions in 1994. He also was a college scout with the Cleveland Browns.
