About Tie Domi
Tie Domi played in the NHL for 16 seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers and Winnipeg Jets. During that time the hardnosed Domi was a legendary enforcer and dominated his opponents on the ice, leading to him accumulating the most penalty minutes in Maple Leafs history and third most all-time in NHL history. Domi began his pro hockey career with the Poetborough Petes in 1986 in the Ontario Hockey League and played two years in the American Hockey Loeague with the Newmarket Saints and Binghamton Rangers before landing with the Maple Leafs in 1990. After a short stint in Toronto he played with the Rangers and Jets for three years each and then finished the remaining 11 seasons of his career in Toronto. In 1020 professional games Domi scored 104 goals and posted 141 assists for a total of 245 points. His 3,515 total penalty minutes is a testament to his aggressive style and ability to go out and play hard night in and night out at Hockey’s most elite level.
