About Tim Howard
Tim Howard earned the nickname “Secretary of Defense” during the 2014 FIFA World Cup and for good reason. In the United State’s round of 16 match up against Belgium he broke the record for most saves in a World Cup match with 16 and wowed the world with his ability to put his hands and feet on the ball to make sure it did not go in the goal. During his international career with Team USA he has played in over 100 games and been a staple for the national team. Since 2007 he has played keeper for the English club team Everton in which he has made 287 appearances and actually scored a goal. That goal came by way of a field long kick over the opposing goalkeepers head. A native of Brunswick, New Jersey, Howard first began playing on the US National Team in 2002 and is one of the most athletic and respected goalkeepers in the world.
