About Tim Petrovic
Tim Petrovic is a native of Northampton, Massachusetts and joined the pro golfing ranks in 1988. Since turning pro he has been one of the most consistent players on the PGA Tour over the last two or more decades. As an amateur he brought home both the New England Amateur and Connecticut State Amateur and in 2005 he captured the Zurich Classic of New Orleans for his first PGA Tour win. His best major finish on the PGA Tour came in 2003 when he finished tied for 15th at the 2003 U.S. Open. He has since finished tied for 24th at the 2004 U.S. Open and also finished tied for 41st at the Masters Tournament that season. The following year he reached his top spot on the Official World Golf Ranking when he reached the 65th spot. His ranking was due to his consistent performances during the early 2000’s leading up to his solid finish at the 2003 U.S. Open. Known for his sweet swing and ball striking ability, he remains a top contender on the tour during his 26th year.
