About Tom Herman
Tom Herman is the head football coach at Florida Atlantic University and the former head coach at Houston and Texas. He is known as one of the best recruiters in college football.Before becoming a head coach, Herman had been working hand-in-hand as Urban Meyer’s offensive coordinator at Ohio State since 2012. Following a 2014 season that ultimately landed the Buckeyes on their third starting quarterback, Herman won the Broyles Award as the top assistant coach in college football. That Ohio State team would cap his tenure with a national championship. Herman has also been an offensive coordinator at Iowa State, Rice, and Texas State. His first job in coaching was a graduate assistant position at Texas Lutheran and he would go on to also coach at Texas and Sam Houston State. The Cincinnati, Ohio native played wide receiver in college at California Lutheran.
