About Tommy Gainey
Tommy Two Gloves Gainey is a professional golfer on the PGA Tour after working his way up to the games top level since turning professional in 1997. Gainey played on several small American tours to begin his pro career but gained his first recognition on the Golf Channels reality show Big Break which he lost in 2005 but returned in a reunion season in 2006 where he won it all. Gainey joined the PGA Tour in 2007 after making his way through Q-School to become the first Big Break winner to earn his PGA Tour card. Gainey struggled on the PGA Tour at first and went down to the Nationwide Tour for a stint where in 2010 he won 2 events and finished 4th on the money list. He returned to the PGA Tour once more where he had a breakthrough year in 2011 with 7 top-10 finishes. He followed that season up with a successful 2012 season where he achieved his first PGA Tour victory at the 2012 McGladrey Classic.
