About Tony Barnhart
Tony Barnhart is simply known as “Mr. College Football”. Barnhart rose to prominence as a national college football writer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution from 1994-2008. He worked his way up at the paper, originally starting as the beat writer for the University of Georgia in 1984. Barnhart’s impact continues today as a prominent voice on the SEC Network. Previously, he was seen as a reporter on CBS Sports’ “College Football Today” and as a panelist on ESPN’s College Gameday. His career started as the sports editor at The Union Daily Times in South Carolina. He quickly moved on to The Greensboro News & Record, where he spent eight years. Barnhart speaks to football-crazed groups all over the country who love to hear about his career covering some of the biggest moments in the sport.
