About Tony DiCicco
Tony DiCicco is a former association soccer player. He is a graduate of Springfield College where he was an All-American goalkeeper in his senior season with the school. Tony joined the American Soccer League for five years where he continued to play the game of soccer, including an appearance on the United States Men's National Soccer Team in 1973. DiCicco is best known for his work following his playing career when he became a coach. His first opportunity came as the goalkeepers coach for the U.S. women's team. He has since gone on to become the head coach of the women's team in 1994 where he led the club to a 103-8-8 record in route to Tony guiding the club to a victory over China in the 1999 World Cup Final. Tony has now taken up broadcasting where he is now a commentator for ESPN's broadcasts of U.S. Women's soccer matches.
