About Tony Eason
Tony Eason is a former quarterback in both collegiate athletics and in the National Football League. He began his career at the University of Illinois where he quickly was recognized for his ability at the quarterback position. He still holds several of the school's all-time passing records, including passing yardage in a season, passing yards per game in a season, pass attempts in a season, pass efficiency in a season, and consecutive pass completions. After college Eason made the transition to the NFL where he was selected as the 15th overall pick in the 1983 NFL Draft. In his professional career some of Tony's accomplishments included leading the Patriots to the AFC East title in 1986 and leading the team through the playoffs and to an appearance in Super Bowl XX. He played his final game in the NFL in 1990 and has since gone on to spend some time as a basketball coach.
