Tony Levine

While Tony Levine is known best for his work in coaching the game of football, he also exhibited his talent on the field when he became a walk on wide receiver at Minnesota where he became a three year starter and earned two Academic All-Big Ten Team selections. After a season in the arena football league, Tony began his coaching career at his high school alma mater and then became the wide receivers and tight ends coach at Texas State in 1997. From that point on Levine spent time with several different schools and even spent some time in the NFL as an assistant with the Carolina Panthers. It was during this time that he gained experience and honed his understanding of the game and was rewarded in 2011 when he became a head coach for the first time in his career with the University of Houston where he led the team to a bowl victory just after his hire.
