Trot Nixon

Trot Nixon is a former player in Major League Baseball in the right field position. Nixon began his career in baseball at a young age in high school where he exhibited so much success that he was named the State Player of the Year in both baseball and football, and he helped lead his team to the State 4A Title in his senior year. While he was planning on attending North Carolina State on a scholarship to play football, he was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the first round of the 1993 MLB Draft which changed his course of action. In his professional career Trot accumulated a career .274 batting average, 137 home runs, and 555 runs batted in while playing for Boston, the Cleveland Indians, and the New York Mets. While his career best year statistically come in 2003 when he batted .306 and has 24 doubles and 28 home runs, his biggest career accomplishment came in 2004 when he aided his team in winning the 2004 World Series.
