About Troy Matteson
Troy Matteson is a professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Troy began his career in golf in college while attending Georgia Tech. In his time with the program he became a standout star and won the NCAA Individual Championship in 2002. Troy then turned professional in 2003 and joined the Nationwide Tour where he set the record for the most money won in a single season in 2005. His success including three victories resulted in Troy being promoted to the PGA Tour where he picked up his first tour victory in 2006. Matteson has gone on to win in two PGA Tour events and finished in the top 40 of both the PGA Championship and The Open Championship. On the course Troy is known for a unique style of hitting which involves a long and high push-draw which is also called the stack and tilt technique.
