About Vinnie Johnson
Vinnie Johnson was best known for his ten seasons with the Detroit Pistons. Johnson helped the "Bad Boy" Pistons win two NBA championships becoming known as "the Microwave" in the process for his quick offense off the bench. He originally began his pro career with the Seattle SuperSonics after being the seventh overall pick in the 1979 NBA Draft. Johnson came to the NBA after being a two-time All-American at Baylor. He ended his career playing a year with the San Antonio Spurs. In 1994, the Pistons retired his #15 jersey. After his playing career, Johnson became successful as an automotive supplier.
