About Vlade Divac
Vlade Divac had special skills for a basketball player standing at 7'1" as he was not only a threat down low in the paint but he was also mobile with good control of the ball and good passing skills. This is the reason he was one of the first European players to find success in the NBA after be drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1989 NBA Draft. He spent 16 seasons in the League with 3 different teams from '89-'05. Divac finished his NBA career as one of only six players in NBA history to record over 13,000 points, 9,000 rebounds, 3,000 assists, and 1,500 blocked shots in a career. Competing internationally for Yugoslavia, Divac won two Olympic silver medals ('88, '96), two FIBA World Cup gold medals ('90, '02), and three FIBA EuroBasket gold medals ('89, '91, '95). Divac is also widely known for his humanitarian efforts in Serbia and Africa and as of 2014 was accepted as a full member of the International Olympic Committee.
