About Wendi Nix
Wendi Nix has been a sports anchor and reporter at ESPN since 2006. Often seen reporting for Sunday NFL Countdown from an NFL sideline, Nix serves during the week as a host for NFL Live and College Football Live. She has been a host for ESPN 2’s college football coverage since 2010. Nix also covered golf for a time when she started at ESPN. Boston is the city where her TV career really took off. She came to ESPN from WHDH in Boston and also worked for Fox Sports New England and NESN. Her first gig in TV came at WPDE in Myrtle Beach/Florence, South Carolina. Nix is a native of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and was captain of the golf time at Wofford College. In addition to her undergraduate degrees from Wofford, she earned a masters in sports management from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. In 2009, she became the first woman to be master of ceremonies for the Walter Camp Football Foundation All-America awards dinner.
