About William Nylander
William Nylander is a Swedish professional ice hockey player for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL. At the forward position, he is most notable for his combination of shooting and passing abilities on the offensive end. He was the 8th pick of the 2014 NHL Draft and was able to make a smooth transition from his junior career to professional hockey. Internationally, Nylander helped lead Sweden to the 2017 World Championship title and was named tournament MVP. His strong family lineage and unique talent make him a very likable player both on and off the ice. With multiple All-Star appearances and a long-term commitment to Toronto , Nylander continues to be a key figure in the Leafs’ push for success. His father, Michael Nylander, is a former NHL player as well .
